Wouldn’t it be better to suggest that non-WGA writer’s avoid job’s obviously associated with members of the AMPTP? Just because writer’s are striking, it doesn’t mean that they can’t take projects to pay the bills (for example, working for the CBC up North). Would the WGA really hold a script for a viral video against a young writer? Especially if it wasn’t for one of the AMPTP’s producers?

Obviously, Guild members shouldn’t be working on content that could someday be sold to the studios. That would be unfair to their brethren. But if they wanted to start writing for a comic book, or start a novel, how they spend their strike time is their own affair. Right?

If I’m wrong, let me know.

Listen, I am not a guild member, but I am a writer who has written for a couple of reality shows –which by the way, is not recognized by the guild as legitimate “writing” at the moment. The gig above sounds like something I would apply for, since none of the work I have done as a writer counts toward me earning points toward getting into the guild, and the guild isn’t paying my bills — screw ‘em. The guild cannot lay claim to the internet, and if an honest young upstart needs to pay the bills, then so be it. It’s all a big catch-22 and I’m not going to let it govern me – I’m a young and talented writer and I will write if given the opportunity, rather than wilt away waiting for my “big break” into the guild.

what a load of crap- pinkberry sucks- one flavor for over 5 dollars, long lines, no creativity, annoying hollywood culture…well I guess that’s right up your alley… you know whats the bomb- Crenshaw, it’s got a nice juicy neutral flavor to it..when posed wtih the question whether this blog is great or the greatest blgo on the internet, one would have to say great and the only thing lacking from making it the greatest is some taylor somach…thats what you’re missing…jr- out
